why.?

Foie gras is actually the liver of a duck or goose which has been gavaged ( it means force feed ) 2-4 times a DAY and 3-5 MONTHS.

And how do they do it.?

They handle the poor bird so roughly and stuff a tube into its long neck and force feeds it with feed made up of maize, vitamin supplements and fats. The poor bird not only suffers the pain from the tube constantly scratching its poor throat, it also kinda feels as if its gonna explode I guess.. I can't even imagine it myself.

It normally causes the bird to fall ill and they may even die from it because to them, ITS A DISEASE. Imagine your liver growing more than 8 times the size it should be and tell me if you feel good.

From now on, besides being anti-sharkfin, I'm going anti-foie gras.!
